Your article in the Kennebec Journal about not funding Christian schools (https://www.centralmaine.com/2023/12/19/tom-waddell-2/) seems rooted in deep hate toward those who are religious. Hypocritically, you state how Christians force their belief (on others) through receiving funding for education. You seem to forget that students are not forced to go to these schools, but rather their parents, who are tax-paying citizens, choose to select that school. This option gives us the freedom of choice, to choose to educate our kids about religion or not. They pay taxes, and their taxes rightfully should go to a school of their approval. That’s freedom of religion. This is a very narrow-minded article that attacks a faith that has not attacked you.
